I find it very interesting that the news always focuses on the guns, rather than the kids. Of course they pull out the same observations; he was a loner, he played WOW, he wore black, he was fascinated with weapons… Sure it’s great news and gets the news crew pants in excited wedgie; no duh schools should be violence free zones. So they do have a story there, but to me isn’t so much about guns as is it about what is happening to our children. What is driving them to take the most extreme solution to a problem? Is it economics?
Chicago has a lot of guns deaths of teens you never hear about. Is it to much coddling or over nurturing? This also gets me we have a lot youths dying every year but because it is the inner city people feel that is a norm, It’s not… Kids killing kids should never be a norm in any sort of economical situation whether good or bad.
I just think they focus to much on guns. There a lot of deaths, but in a country with 250 million people and millions of guns, it seems small. I’m more concerned why these kids are taking extreme way out. Recognition? Depression? TV?
I really wonder what are kids are going crazy. Of course I can sit here surmise that it’s over protective parents, drugs, alcohol when pregnant. What gets me again as it hits me hard is why these kids are going to the extreme to leave this life.
