On my back to the Northwest
on Jul 13 in word byWell I’m on the road again it started off pretty good. Miss the family already. I left at 5 in the morning and was making great time and was even considering going to Antique Archeology, but decided not to because I could use that time to do a bit of hiking. Well did not work out, next time watch the news! The Missouri river is flooded and the roads are under water in Iowa and Nebraska. So I have to drive all the way to south Dakota and cut over. I could have gone to Chicago or Milwaukee before I headed back.
The redeeming factor was I met these really cool guys Cheese, Chris and Cody, Two from Oklahoma and one from North Carolina; they invited me to their camp for beer and s’mores. Weird combo for sure but it was a good time sitting around a camp fire hearing stories of building and climbing the radio towers. They even had pictures and movies of wind gust up to 40 miles per hour.
Since the river has over flowed the standing water has help create mosquito’s the size of birds. I exaggerate, but they bit me through my shirt even with bug spray on! They were not taking no for an answer.
Off I go need to get some driving in before I have to do a bit of banner work.
